Worry Cat Leicester

Worry Cat

I'm working with Sara Stevens, a qualified hypnotherapist, to produce books and resources for children on dealing with worries and anxieties. These are based around Sara's 'Don't Feed the Cat book and others.

Gill Vaisey

Belonging and Believing

I'm delighted to be working in partnership with Gill Vaisey to strengthen teaching and learning within RE syllabuses and through resource materials. Her books, particularly the 'Belonging and Believing' series work perfectly with the structure of my agreed syllabuses, bring them to lief by seeing religion and worldviews through the eyes of real children.

Khalsa Toys Leicester

Khalsa Toy Store

I was thrilled to see the way this company makes Sikh action figures for children. We are talking about how they might extend these to other faiths and how they might link directly to the RE syllabus. From their website:

'We started this journey to bring to life Sikh representation in an industry where our faces didn't seem to fit. Growing up we've all had idols, superheros and heroines we felt drawn to and inspired by. However, why didn't any of our action figures, kids toys or magical characters represent attributes from our own culture and motherland, when we have such a rich and iconic history of truly inspiring people. It's imperative for young children to learn the tales of our forefathers and mothers and feel proud of their heritage. This is why we want to introduce our image and identity to the toys and collectables industry where we will standout just as we are supposed to thanks to the blessings and Paatshahi bestowed upon us by our beloved Guru.'
